Hepatitis A+B

It gives protections against both (A and B) types of hepatitis. The vaccinations have to be given according to a 0-1-6 month time schedule.

Two vaccines are available to prevent varicella. Both vaccines are lyophilized preparations containing live attenuated viruses.

• VARILRIX is suitable for active immunization of infants, young children, adolescents and seronegative adults older than 9 months of age. To achieve protection, two doses are required. The second vaccination may be given after 4-6 weeks after the first vaccination.
• VARIVAX is suitable for active immunization of 12 months of age and older. Two doses are required for immunity, with a 4-8 week interval.

The active immunization against varicella can be effective in post-exposure prophylaxis of direct contact of chickenpox patients within 3-4 days after first exposure.
