vaccine against Cholera

Our office works on the highest level of quality, we're not just applying travel related vaccinations but preventive vaccines too.

The disease is spread in several African, Asian and Latin American countries. In some cases the virus was also carried into Europe. After the bacteria have invaded the body, the incubation time is quite short, 1-2 days.

The source of infection: The infected person and the person carrying the Vibrio cholerae bacterium.

Problems and symptoms

  • In slight cases short term vomiting and diarrhoea
  • In more severe cases watery diarrhoea which is frequently described as "rice water" in nature. It’s not accompanied by abdominal pain.
  • Strong vomiting develops which is not preceded by intensive nausea.
  • Fever is rare
  • Muscle spasms develop due to dehydration and electrolyte losses. If the loss of liquid occurs to great extents, the patient can get into the state of shock and die in a couple of hours.
