Chronic disease can get formed. 15-20% of patients suffering from chronic hepatitis dies due to the complications, and liver cancer may develop.

Problems and symptoms

30% of the patients remains asymptomatic

• Jaundice
• General discomfort
• Abdominal pain
• Darker urine
• Asitia
• Nausea
• Low fever (high fever can occur at the beginning of the development of the disease)
• Pain of the joints
• Headache

Hepatitis B virus (HBV)

Way of spread

• By blood, blood products, needles contaminated by blood, medical equipment (tattoos, piercing, blood transfusion)
• Sexually
• From infection mother to her child

Prevention

• Usage of safe blood products if necessary
